Trying to add a tag using a name that already exists brings up an error. Subsequent attempts to save the tag (with or without any actual changes) results in:
The attempt to save your changes was unsuccesful because the record has been updated by another user.
Tags need unique names, but there should be a reasonable message and not an error message. I will add it to the the list of known issues.
There is a reasonable message, but when you click ok on that error and try to change it to a unique name to correct and then click save, the error:

comes up and you can't save the tag. You have to cancel the changes you've made and start again.
