Re: User configuration

Does deselecting a survey in the user configuration work differently if the user is a system manager?

This restricted access applies to reports they produce as well as the surveys they can see

I can see the survey in the observation hierachy, but don't think I can report on it - is that right?

Re: User configuration

If you deselect a Survey for a users that user shouldn't be able to see the Survey in the Observation hierarchy and  shouldn't be able to report on it.   Reports from the wizard should exclude the Surveys,  but for XML reports it  has to be built into the SQL.  If  while they are logged in  a system manager changes the Surveys they can access, the change  is immediate, although the observation hierarchy may need  to be closed and opened again to see the effect. I can't see that there would be much point in restricting  a systems manager as they can always take off the restriction. but it may have a use.

Re: User configuration

Ahhh I think I've found the cause. The survey isn't hidden if it's got a tag and you've got "organise surveys by tags" ticked.

Re: User configuration

Thanks. I thought there may be a way of breaking it and that not all possibilities would have been covered. This is a fault as there shouldn't be a way of circumventing the restriction.

Re: User configuration

Hello,

just wondered if this has been fixed in the meantime?
