I am having a problem restoring from backup. I can back up without any problems via Recorder 6 (V6.15) both through the database tools  or when doing an XML Batch Update,  but when I attempt a restore using the restore option in Recorder 6 I get the message 'Failed to backup database because you do not have permission'  I can restore via Management Studio. I am running Recorder on SQl Server 2008.

Any ideas on this would be apprecaited.

I am having the same problem with SQL Server 2008, running under Windows 7 and as yet can't find a solution.

Have you tried Run as Administrator on the RecorderApp.exe executable file, then trying the restore?

Yes I have and it doesn't help. My system is a standlone install on Windows 7 (32 Bit) using SQLServer 2008 developers edition.
