Hi Rob.
In my experience, there is an issue (at least on the 6.14.4 install disk) with installing standalone Recorder onto a 64 bit Windows machine with an existing 64 bit version of SQL Express. This is because the installer does not detect the presence of the instance, due to the way that 64 bit Windows virtualises the registry (so the software requests a registry key to check if SQL Express is present, but gets mapped to a different part of the registry where the 32 bit registry entries are kept, therefore fooling Recorder into thinking SQL Express is not installed).
If you install a 32 bit SQL Express 2008, or use the 2005 one on the disk, then there are no problems I am aware of that result from either SQL 2008 or Windows 64 bit. I haven't tested the network installer on 64 bit Windows but I don't know of any reason why it should not work as normal. Recorder itself seems fine once installed.
