Re: Import wizard - find species problem

Hi

Trying to match species in the import wizard I get the following error message, and recorder crashes

Problem signature:
  Problem Event Name:    APPCRASH
  Application Name:    RecorderApp.exe
  Application Version:    6.14.5.218
  Application Timestamp:    2a425e19
  Fault Module Name:    msado15.dll
  Fault Module Version:    6.0.6002.18005
  Fault Module Timestamp:    49e03783
  Exception Code:    c0000005
  Exception Offset:    00012df8
  OS Version:    6.0.6002.2.2.0.16.36
  Locale ID:    2057
  Additional Information 1:    1909
  Additional Information 2:    d5990fc02d3f4816c1581e495ae12389
  Additional Information 3:    b64a
  Additional Information 4:    d11e2a49fd910686a54ba095e4ba576e

This happens when the Find Species dialogue box comes up, after you enter a partial name to search, if you attempt to delete a letter from the search terms e.g, to correct your search term. Doesn't seem to happen in the find species box from the taxon window.

Re: Import wizard - find species problem

Hi Gordon,
Yes this is a known issue and had been logged as such. I have however tried to reproduce this is 6.15 (in testing phase) and been unable to force the error. This requries further testing to be sure but may have been inadvertently fixed with another bug. 6.15 is currently being amended to fix incidents found from the last testing round. We will test again once we receive the latest build and hope to release it soon after, as long as no further issues are found.
Best wishes, Mary

Re: Import wizard - find species problem

Still seems to be a problem - have upgraded today but get a very similar error in the Find Species dialogue in IW matching - not deleting a letter this time but adding.

Hi Gordon,

Unfortunately I cannot reproduce this here.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem since upgrading?

Re: Import wizard - find species problem

I have had this error again, this time on the match names screen of the import wizard - all the details appear the same except the application version. I haven't done the most recent upgrade, so maybe that has fixed it. Will attempt later and let you know

Re: Import wizard - find species problem

Hi, I have also got this error under the exact same circumstances when matching species names.
Has there been any solutions found yet?

Re: Import wizard - find species problem

Hi Phillip
Did that error occur when using the Find dialog to match the names?
