I have tried to upload recorder 6 and the SQL writer is damaged appears. I can now onlt load Windows in safe mode as in normal mode it just keeps going to restart. In safe mode I cannot remove the offending SQL so how to I perform this.

I have been investigating this following a report of the problem. It would appear that SQL server 2005, now shipped with Recorder causes thie problem if it is installed on Windows XP running Service Pack 2. Apparently, Service Pack 3 is required. It will be necessary to get Windows XP working again. I am told that a repair should do this otherwise it will require a re-install, then an upgrade to Service Pack 3. The fact that Service Pack 3 is a requirement for installing Recorder 6 after version 6.14 needs to be made clear in the documentatation, especially as the consequences rather nasty. Any information from anyone who has actually got XP running again in this situation would be appreciated.
