Hi, I'm having problems with the add-in that exports data in the correct format to send to the NBN Gateway.

When I run the export I get the following message: An internal exception occurred in the NBN Exchange addin in Stored procedure: nbn_exchange_create_tables.  The exception message is: Could not find stored procedure 'nbn_exchange_create_tables'

I downloaded the file and unzipped it into N:\Recorder 6 Server\Addins\Rec6_NBNExchangeAddin

Hi Eleanor,

It sounds like it did not install properly. Did you install it by following the instructions in the Readme.txt file supplied in the download zip file?

Note to Lynn - the addin download page mentions a Word doc supplied in the download on page http://www.jncc.gov.uk/page-4597 but there is just a readme.txt file instead.

Hi John,

I have just tried to re-install the add-in, following the instructions.  Unfortunately, it hasn't helped!  When I try to install it, it lets me get as far as the SQL server login.  When I login it (using the Windows user account) it says that it 'cannot generate SSPI context' (does that sound familiar?!!!) and says that the installation failed.

However, if I close down Recorder & re-open it, the add-in has apparently been installed - but it gives the same error message (An internal exception occurred in the NBN Exchange addin in Stored procedure: nbn_exchange_create_tables.  The exception message is: Could not find stored procedure 'nbn_exchange_create_tables') when I try and export some data.

I managed to install the NBN export addin (eventually).  Now I have a new computer, and need to install it again, as it doesn't appear to be available.  But, when I click on the install add-ins button I get the following error message.

I'm getting bored of this - when is this damn programme going to work properly?

Hello Eleanor

Hope you get the Recorder NBN Exchange addin working on your new machine. I had a similar error message "class not registered" on my machine when trying to import records. This turned out to be due to a missing dll - msjetoledb40.dll in the system 32 folder (I think all to do with my machine having a newer version of MDAC which doesn't now contain the Microsoft Jet components). I am not sure if this is the same issue with the addin, it would be good to record which dlls are missing to see if there is a common theme

Anyway, Thames Valley Environmental Records Centre have just posted a XML report written by Mike Weideli  (see http://forums.nbn.org.uk/viewtopic.php?pid=6219#p6219) which allows surveys to be exported in the NBN Exchange Format. This could be an alternative way of exporting your records.

There are a couple of typos in the column names which need correcting and I would remove reference to  LC_strip_LFCR function if you don't have access to the Recorder database to add this function. Let me know if you need help with these modifications
