Every time I try and add taxon occurrences I end up with the panic box and a description message which ultimately tells me something which I guess is fairly obvious. Are there any thoughts on what's going on here?

exception message : Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'ENTERED_BY', table 'NBNData.dbo.TAXON_OCCURRENCE'; column does not allow nulls. INSERT fails.

Does this happen only for taxon occurrences, and does it happen when adding them using the Observations window or one of the record cards?

Hi John

Problem solved - for some reason the permissions on a couple of stored procedures had been completely blown away. I think this has happened to me once before in the not too distant past...

Anyways, it's working now.
