when exporting data from a report to an esri shape file, the abundance data (numeric) are now exported as a text field because the measurement unit (e.g. 'count') is added to the value. This requires some tedious data manipulation in GIS (deleting the string-part of the exported field, creating a new numeric field, recalculating it and deleting the original exported field) which could be avoided by exporting measurement unit and data value as two columns instead of a collated one.
