Re: Dictionary Updates KLMN

Hi

I'm having trouble installing dictionary upgrade 0000000N.zip. Managed to get through K, L and M okay but with N I just get an 'Unrecognized database format' error. When I click on this I'm left looking at an install dialogue which might, or might not, do something. Anyone any ideas about this?

Also, I think it would be helpful if there was some screen feedback during the install process other than just a progress bar, which lets the user know what's happening. Basic information like what script it's currently installing would certainly give me a bit more assurance that things are going as planned as sometimes these upgrades can take a while and I'm never sure whether Recorder has just given up or whether I should give it 'another 10 minutes' to see what happens.

Cheers

Iain

Iain, Have you tried re-downloading the file? The zip file might be corrupt... come to think of it, have you tried opening the zip and trying the files inside to see if they're all ok?

Re: Dictionary Updates KLMN

Hi Charles

Thanks for the reply - I hadn't realised that I had to move the actual downloaded zip files out of the scripts directory so I suspect it was simply trying to process something it didn't understand - which of course was exactly what it was trying to tell me!

However, when I do a search in the upgraded recorder I now get an unhandled error message - which looks like a permissions problem with one of the stored procedures (FormatDateTime, from what I remember). I'm away to have a quick look at this and then maybe I'll have a lie down after all of that.

Cheers

Re: Dictionary Updates KLMN

Hi

For some reason the permissions had completely gone on the FormatDatePart function - resetting them seems to have done the trick.
