we are getting a EoleException: [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen... on a workstation when connecting to the server. It looks like this is due to Windows Server 2003 Hotfix KB971737 which installed overnight. The hotfix 'strengthens authentication credentials' with the result that I couldn't start the Recorder instance on the server or connect to it via SQL Server Management Studio. Once I re-entered the logon password to the sql service on the server I was able to connect, although password hadn't changed, but the workstation is throwing up the exception above. Have you come across this and/or found a solution?
