The From field in the Names & Addresses addresses tab shouldn't be a required field.

I think that it is probably a required field to ensure that the address is valid.

I'm not sure what you mean?

If I don't know the From date of an address, I would leave it blank, not enter "Unknown" as is currently the case?

This annoys me as well - I almost always enter 'Unknown' - however, what I would like would be a field which implicitly indicated at date XXXX we knew this address was correct, but this isn't the 'From' date which infers a start of residence
