Hi

I'm a bit confused about this export filter thing. If I do a search with the export filter looking for 'Sciuridae' it returns 2956 taxon occurrences. What seems a bit strange is when I then have an export filter which looks for 'Sciuridae', 'Sciurus', 'Sciurus carolinensis', 'Sciurus Vulgaris' (all from the same checklist) and this returns 3729 taxon occurrences - I would have thought both export filters amount to the same thing. Am I missing something really obvious here?

I never did get to the bottom of this - is anyone able to offer any suggestions as to why I'm getting such a difference in returned number of records for what appears to be the same export filter conditions?

Hi Iain,

When you ran these filters, had you rebuilt the indexes in the Taxon Dictionary since the previous update?  If the taxon group index was out of date then it would cause problems like this. Other than that it could be a problem in the Taxon Dictionary content.

It's working now after a rebuild so I suspect it was effectively using different lists - probably me just being a bit dim.
