An idea I have just had that might make things simpler.

After using the import wizard there is often quite a bit of sorting out to do, often rearranging of samples into events. In some cases I would consider samples that have different dates or observers to be part of the same event, but only notice the differences when the error message crops up on trying to move it. Would it be possible to add an option to the error message that would amend the event, e.g. "XXXX is not a recorder for this event, would you like to add them?" or "The sample date falls outside the event range, would you like to extend the event date range?"

Not sure if it would be possible, or if anyone else would find this useful, but should make the cleaning up process easier/quicker.
