One of our workstations persistently crashes on Recorder startup. I've tried everything I can think of on this machine. I've even uninstalled everything and removed all traces from the registry and filesystem, but it still crashes while starting.

Simon: are you able to give me an idea of what might be causing this? From error log below, it looks like something to do with application settings on line 3392?

Hi Charles,

This error appears to be stemming from when the system is trying to find the currently used language, which is then used to aid in the determination of the 'Help' file path and name. 

Are the regional settings for this workstation set to similar values as other workstations?  Also do you still experience the same issues if logged in as an administrator?

Only just had a chance to revisit this one. To answer your questions:

1. Yes, regional settings are the same as other workstations: everything is set to United Kingdom.

2. Yes, I have the same issue when logged in as an admin.
