Re: Species record form and the comments field
Heres one.
The comments field in the species record form;
The first taxon recorded from the form - the comment is inherited by the sample.
So for the next record, the comment might be different, but is held only by the species record, the original comment being reported at the sample level.
This leaves a set of observations for a single sample, with a comment at the sample level that was inherited from the first species observation, a comment which suggests some relevance to all of the observations - which is not so.
We found this out as we recorded determination comments for each observation.
So the first query would be to clarify that this is the expected behaviour of the form?
The second point would be to suggest some improvements to the comments from the from i.e. the opportunity to record a sample comment above and beyond the observation comments.
