Re: Recorder 6.10 to 6.13 upgrade error

We have had the following problem when upgrading from 6.10 to 6.13 using downloaded upgrade kit.

It appears the application is upgraded (Recorder reports it is version 6.13).
But the upgrade stops with the following message:

'Error occurred running script 0000005F.sql. The error is described as:
The conversion of char data type to smalldatetime data type resulted in an out-of-range smalldatetime value.'

We have contacted Sally Rankin who hasn't been able to help us in this case. Has anyone else had the same problem?

Any help gratefully received
Martin

Re: Recorder 6.10 to 6.13 upgrade error

Hi Martin,

Evidently this refers to a script that was issued relatively recently - we are currently looking into why this may have been a problem in your case. We are not aware of this having occurred prior to your post. Can I ask what version you were upgrading from and whether you have kept up-to-date with the dictionary downloads?

We will get back to you.
Cheers,
Lynn

Re: Recorder 6.10 to 6.13 upgrade error

Hi Lynn

Apparently there is a problem caused by our IT set up rather than Recorder. I'll let you know the full details when our IT people have fixed, it but basically our copy of Recorder 6 is set up with UK date format and the main network SQL server with US date format (or vice versa). They are working to sort it out for us at the moment. It does definitely seem like a problem caused here though.

Martin
