Re: Recorder 3 data validation checks

I've just devised a small set of reports in EasyWriter to help me and my local Wildlife Trust check for errors and inconsistencies in our trusty old copies of Recorder 3.3

Realising that R3 is still used by quite a percantage of respondents to a recent survey, I wondered if these TCL commands would interest others?

If so, is this the right forum in which to post them?

They would be really basic reports, useful for ensuring good data quality, such as:
- Produce taxonomic lists and count records per species - for simple error-checking.
- Finds grid references not starting with the two letter combinations you normally expect in your region.
- Find records with no stated recorder or literature source
- Find records with empty date field.
- Find records with gross year errors, eg prior to 1750/ post 2008.
- Select large batches of records to plot on a UK map for quick grid ref checking.
- Find records without any source or filing reference.

Let me know if anything might be useful and I can prepare it for posting in the most relevant forum. Each command ought then to be pastable directly into RECORDER 3's command prompt  (TCL)
