Re: Contribute to recording scheme causes error

I've just asked one of our satellites to export their data to us using the contribute to recording scheme tool, but they have reported an error. I'm doing some tests now, but I can confirm I've had mixed results with the export filter and contribute to recording scheme tools. I'll often get exceptions and have to resort to another means of exporting. What are others' experiences of the export filter and contribute to scheme tools? This is the error they get is as follows:

Re: Contribute to recording scheme causes error

Yes indeed, I get near identical errors when using recording schemes & export filters. The only thing that works is you get them to use the 'Select all records'.

I first noticed this when doing standalone setups around the country earlier this year & also during network testing. Basically you can't actually use the select records from any date which means in turn that you should recommend that they export fairly frequently as the receiving copy will have to idenitfy & reject all the duplicates.

On the bright side, you do have the handy custodian change option already built in to the schemes, so that wee headache is overcome.

An example error log is below:

Re: Contribute to recording scheme causes error

I'll raise an incident on out bug tracking system to check this out before we do release 6.9.  I'll let you know if I have any questions.
