After updating to 6.13 I am unable to access Surveys. the following error notice appears.

Any suggestions on how to recover this function. Every thing else appears to work ok.

Re: After Update 6.10 to 6.13 Survey produces error

I would suggest looking at Tools - Options - General and making sure that the Organise Surveys by Tag box is not ticked as a first option to try to correct this.

Thanks Gordon,  I had already carried out your suggestion but it makes no difference whether the box is tagged or not.
Any other ideas

Re: After Update 6.10 to 6.13 Survey produces error

This is an error you get it you try to run R6.13 using a database that hasn't been upgraded.

Re: After Update 6.10 to 6.13 Survey produces error

Hi Charles,  The version I was upgrading was a standalone 6.10.4  As I understood the instructions this was the most recent version so I used the V13upgrade.zip. I then unzipped it and ran the upgrade.exe file.
The upgrade appeared to work but I am unable to see the surveys and also I cannot enter records.

Have I missed something?

It sounds like you've done everything right, but for some reason the database hasn't upgraded itself. Hopefully John van Breda or one of the resellers will be reading this and be able to offer some advice. Or you could contact Mike or Sally, or whoever your reseller is directly.

I agree with Charles - not sure what has caused it but it does sound like your database has not upgraded. What is the value of the DB Seq row in settings. Also - did the upgrade throw any errors and are you certain that the previous upgrade worked alright - ie. that the database you have was definitely upgraded to 6.10?

Re: After Update 6.10 to 6.13 Survey produces error

Hi Steve,
Yes I had already checked the database version in settings and realised that it was still at 6.10. Everything else upgraded. I used the 6.10 disc to upgrade from 2002 which has worked pretty well up to now.

After many hours of work I have now managed to get back to 6.10
I might attempt the upgrade again next week if I am feeling brave.

It would have been really handy to know what the DB Seq value was before you tried to 'downgrade' - I think we could have worked it out from there. Anyway - have another go at upgrading and let us know the value of the other variables in that table if things dont work.
