Topic: Zipped .bak files from R6

We have a new off-site backup facility requiring upload of a 2.5GB .bak file. It is manageable, but takes time.

The .bak file can be zipped to be much smaller, but I see on the web that zipped .bak files can in some cases fail to unzip correctly.

Is there any problem with using zipped .bak files from R6 as reliable backups?
