Topic: Backup

I am trying to backup my database for the first time, but am not having much success! I've gone into tools/database tools/backup database and pressed ok but then get the message 'The backup operation cannot be completed because the device location can't be opened'. Backup location (tools/database tools/view or change backup location) is set at 'Recorder 6'.

First thing to try is to change the backup location to the standard location.  Normally this would be somewhere similar to this  C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL11.SQLEXPRESS\MSSQL\Backup.

If this doesn't work you may need to reset the location. This is explained in FAQ at https://forums.nbn.org.uk/viewtopic.php?id=6123
