Topic: Recorder Dictionary Upgrades to 00000051

Upgrades to 000000051  are now available from http://www.recorder6.info/page47.html  Please read this page carefully and in particular note the requirements for running the update which is in the new format and which will not work with the old dictionary update software.  These are designed to be run from within Recorder 6 (after version 6.29).  Note that you will require a licence key to access these updates see https://forums.nbn.org.uk/viewtopic.php?id=7472

The updates bring the R6 dictionary into line the NHM UK Species Inventory as at 23/9/2021

If you have run the new upgrade before and know how it works then you can go directly to the files at  http://www.recorder6.info/page50.html

Each upgrade needs to be run separately.

Dictionary Upgrade 00000051 incortporates a major update to the Coleoptera. Please not that the revised Beetles taxa are availble only via the The Master List. The Beetles list is not currently being maintained.

Re: Recorder Dictionary Upgrades to 00000051

Hello Mike,

The page that you link to only lists updates to 00000050 - I cannot see any reference to 00000051 - am I missing something?

Thanks,

Bob

By the way, what should the results of the XML Report Dic2 be after running this update?

Re: Recorder Dictionary Upgrades to 00000051

Hello Mike, we are trying to do the updates today but have fallen at the first obstacle. After the first run through and index updates the dictionary is still at S and not the T we expected, any recommendations?. We are reluctant to carry on if there is going to be a problem. Any help appreciated.

Re: Recorder Dictionary Upgrades to 00000051

Do you mean 0000004T ?  If so try running it again. Check where the dictionary is after it has run but before you rebuild the index. If it is still wrong then edit 0000004T in notepad (it takes a long time to load) and remove the line  'DELETE FROM INDEX TAXON GROUP WHERE SYSTEM SUPPLIED_DATA =1. Then try again.
