Re: Job: Surrey Biological Records Centre Officer

Surrey Biological Records Centre Officer

£18,000 to £20,000 (dependant on skills and experience)

The Surrey Wildlife Trust is looking for an individual to play a critical role in the ongoing development of the Surrey Biological Records Centre.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the day to day activities of the SyBRC as well as playing an important role in the next phase of its development as the focus for habitat and species recording in the County.

As well as a relevant environmental qualification you will need a professional background in nature conservation, knowledge and experience of the work of a Biological Records Centre and the use of Geographical Information Systems. You should also be able to demonstrate an ability to work systematically and with a thorough attention to detail. Experience of the Recorder species database and MapInfo GIS would be an advantage.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real contribution to conserving the biodiversity of Surrey for future generations.
