Topic: Synonym problems

Cortinarius elatior (NBNSYS0000021633) is now the recommended name for Cortinarius livido-ochraceus (NBNSYS0000039165).
Unfortunately if you search for C. elatior it is not displaying the records for the synonym.
Please can you up-date the system.

Hi Christine,
Thank you for letting me know. I will pass the information to Chris at the NHM. We are expecting to do an updated to the species dictionary on the Atlas next month, so any name changes will be included in the update.

There have been a number of taxonomic revisions to the lichen and fungi species lists. If I come across any more anomalies I'll let you know.

The correction has already been made to the UKSI and so will be included in the Atlas species dictionary update next month.
