Hear, hear; you've taken the words out of my mouth. Bad news and at ridiculously short notice. Just when R6 is at probably its most stable, usable & useful, the plug is pulled!

Recorder 6 forward plan: position statement

If and when an integrated online data system is adopted within a plan for replacing Recorder, a full consultation will be run with stakeholders to ensure all views and concerns are considered and addressed.

Did I miss this consultation somehow or did it never happen?

In lieu of a consultation from JNCC we are running our own (see here https://forums.nbn.org.uk/viewtopic.php?id=7047 for details).  An anonymised summary of the results will be shared via the NBN forum once all the submissions have been collated and processed.
