Topic: Orphaned datasets

Datasets on the Atlas that are not assigned to a data partner
e.g. https://registry.nbnatlas.org/public/sh … rce/dr1511 should be assigned to https://registry.nbnatlas.org/public/show/dp163
How many of these are there in the system, sorting these out is a real time waster for us.

Hi Darwyn

I have just checked the registry and the data resource is assigned as you describe - dr1511 (Anthomyiidae records for Great Britain) is linked to dp163 (Anthomyiidae Study Group) - hope this is correct.

Thanks for fixing that one Christine. Phil's doing a workshop at FSC Preston Montford on this group in February so that will be nice and tidy for them now.
No DOI - ? I'm guessing that happens when you do a GBIF upload.

Good - hope the workshop goes well.  Re the DOI - I am not 100% sure myself how they are assigned but I shall try to find out for you.

Hi Darwyn,

Yes, you're correct, the DOI is generated by GBIF when datasets are loaded onto their database.
