Topic: Channel Island records

Hi

What should we expect with regard to CI records? Take a look at Seasearch Marine Surveys in the Channel Islands and you will see none of the records appear on the map. Although they have grid references these have not been converted to lat/long.

Re: Channel Island records

Hi Jim,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. The issue seems to relate to a discrepancy with the grid references used in the Channel Islands not displaying properly. We have added this to our list of bugs, but we are working on higher priority issues at the moment and will get to this as soon as we can.

Best wishes

Jo

I assume this is because the grid refs are being treated as Ordnance Survey grid refs (they pattern match the same), but are actually invalid.

OSGR = Ordnance Survey Grid Reference?

Re: Channel Island records

The old Gateway handled CI records in either Lat Long format or OS Grid Ref formats using the WV/WX square codes.
