Topic: Dictionary Upgrades 0000003O to 0000003Q and 0000003R to 0000003T

Dictionary Upgrades 0000003O to 0000003Q and  0000003R to 0000003T are now available at http://jncc.defra.gov.uk/page-4615 . Please note that it can only be applied to Recorder v 6.25 or above. Applying them to other version will corrupt table Index_Taxon_Name.

These are two small upgrades which fix some problems with taxon designations and add a few new taxa. They bring R6 into line with the NHM Dictionary as at 18/12/2016.

They may be run together and the index tables updated after the upgrade.

Updating the final index table (?designations) is taking a while - around 1.5 hours so far. Is this okay? All the other indices updated within a few minutes. SQL is still running.

Hi

This can't be right. It is the quickest of the updates and only took under a minutes here.

The SQL is very straightforward and there is nothing in the SQL which looks like it could cause a loop.

I suggest you abandon it and  try again.

Hi Mike - a couple of tries yesterday and nothing... come in this morning and bam, done in 60 seconds.
