Topic: Strange behaviour of Assocated Access DB

I'm have problems viewing some of my records in the associated Access database linked to the SQL Server (note this isn't the original supplied by Recorder, but a created one in Access 2010)

Viewing the REFERENCES table all is fine until I scroll down to a specific row when it immediately displays the error message "ODBC - call failed" and all the entries (included those already viewed change to '#Name?'

Closing the table view and reopening restores the data (until the same row is hit)

I have examined the row, and the previous row both in Recorder and in SQL Server and cannot see anything strange

This low priority, it just means I have to work in SQL Management Studio instead of Access (and learn some SQL)

Have you tried recreating the linked table?

Re: Strange behaviour of Assocated Access DB

It could be that the field length has changed. Open Access and find Linked table manager which is under the External Data Tab in MS Access 2010. Find the table giving the problem  and tick in the box to the left of the table name. Click OK and it should refresh the  link.
