Topic: Specified SQL server not found

I posted earlier this year about an Access Denied error that kept cropping up (http://forums.nbn.org.uk/viewtopic.php?id=6227).  I have recently discovered that our SQL Server Browser was disabled.  Now that I've enabled it, I'm getting a new error which reads:

EOleException: [DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (Connect()).]Specified SQL server not found.

Anyone seen this before and if so, how'd you fix it?

Re: Specified SQL server not found

A fix has been found to this.  Many thanks to David Mitchel for assistance.

The problem was that the port that the Recorder instance was operating on was set to dynamic.  Setting the port as static and to 1433 has resolved the problem, in addition to making sure the SQL Browser service was enabled.
