We are replacing our six year old server that runs Recorder with a new machine. The Recorder 6 installer keeps getting "stuck" during the process of copying the AVI files to the getting started directory. It just stops during the copy of "Measurements.avi". The animated file copy icon keeps going. Checking the system, the installer is not using excessive CPU or RAM. The only action is to quit the installer.

The file "Measurements.avi" remains at 6,592Kb as opposed to 12,307K on the old system. 

The installation of SQL Server 2005 Express was fine, as was the creation of the NBN database.

This is the same installer CD that I used to install Recorder onto our current server.

New Server OS: Windows Server 2003 x64 SP2.

Any help appreciated.

Today the problem above did not appear, Recorder 6 has installed ok. Odd :rolleyes:

HI Dave,

we at CCW are trying to install R6 server on windows server 2003 but are running into many problems. Did you manage to get it all working with add-ins, maps, etc?

If so, do you have any hints as to how to get maps installed and working?
