Topic: Temporary names in R6

In the document (2009 version) entitled "Recorder 6 - Exporting data from Recorder 6 to the NBN Gateway", on page 4 mention is made to the effect that "...A separate tutorial will provide further information on re-determining records made against temporary names to permanent ones....".

When I run Reports>Run>System Supplied>Record Validation>Non-system species names, I find I've got 43 items with records. Has anyone any idea where I can find this tutorial?

I don't think I have ever seen the tutorial you mention. If there are very few then you can go from the report directly to the record and change them manually. Also there are several Batch Updates which can be used. They are in Tools/Run Batch Updates under menus System/Supplied/Determination Updates. They all work by selecting the old and new taxa from the dictionary. Some keep the original determination, others simply make the change without keeping the original. The Manage User Added Taxa addin can also make the changes.
