Topic: Lost ability to Import data

I recently did some tidying up of users on my system, having set up a number of test users for experimental purposes. I now find that when I log in I am missing most of the tools menu. I can't import files or change users. I get no option to select a user and Recorder opens without a login screen. Help please.

What you have probably done is to create a situation where there is just the default users and one other users who is not an R6 administrator. Once in this situation R6 will always open with the  last user which once this is the non-admin user will create a situation which there is no way out of within R6. You must have used the Default User login to delete all users apart from one non Admin user.

Two ways out of this

1. Run the following SQL  in Management Studio ' Update [USER] set security_Level = 5'

2. Using Regedit to change the Last User to TESTDATA00000001 then make sure you change the security level on the other
user.  H_Key_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Dorset Software/ Recorder 6/Settings
