Topic: Imported locations

I have set up a hierarchy of Location which meet my needs, just covering natures reserves which I need to report on. For other records I  just put the place name on the sample. I have now imported a large number of records from a R6 users who adds a Location into the top of the hierarchy for  every records. The result is as set of locations which are meaningless to me, but which make finding my records much more difficult. Can any one suggest a way out of dealing with this.

Re: Imported locations

You could set up a new dummy location and move all the new locations under it as child locations.  Then at least they will be less visible in the Locations window (until you expand the parent).

Unfortunately this is a manual process (one by one) in the user interface unless you can find someone to create a batch update or SQL script to 'move' them all for you.
