We have recently upgraded to Recorder 6 and as we previously had 2 site ID's we are in the process of transferring the custody of the secondary database to the Primary database which is now networked. Following a problem instally SQLServer yesterday which we did manage to resolve eventually we have now stumbled across another problem - when we tried to import the records this morning it threw out an unhandled error with the following error message

I have spoken to Sally Rankin and she thought this error had come up recently does any body know if it was resolved? and if yes how?!

Please help we are getting very frustrated now!!

Hooray!

We've managed to fix this issue and are now able to import. It seems that the problem related to our permission levels on the server. HBRC is hosted by the council and so we are on their network and using their servers. Whilst we are provided with support one of the drawbacks is that we do not have high enough permission levels to carry out some of the tasks associated with Recorder. After contacting IT these levels have been raised thus solving the problem.

Hope this may help others in the same position.

Would anyone know which permissions specifically are required?

We've got one user who gets this error but I can't see anything different with her access levels compared to other users who do not get this error using the same procedure.

did anyone manage to track down which permissions need amending? This has just started happening on certain users here.

Almost certainly a server error (or something to do with windows authentication) as the login works fine on the servern machine but not over the network. but i can't for the life of me see anything different between the failed and working logins.
