Topic: Customising 'Record Details' form

Is it possible to over-ride field names in the 'Record Details' form? One of my recorders feels that the term 'Sample Comment' is rather meaningless to people who are not familiar with the Reorder 6 (and Indicia) data model. They thought that they were entering a comment about the site and were confused when they say this label did not reflect this.

Sample comment:Community garden with an emphasis on wildlife

Re: Customising 'Record Details' form

Hi Dave
Yes, you can use the internationalisation/localisation in Indicia to do this. See http://indicia-docs.readthedocs.org/en/ … uage-files

Basically you want a file called node.x.en.php saved in sites\all\modules\iform\client_helpers\prebuilt_forms\lang, where x is the node ID. Then use the custom term overrides approach to replace Sample comment with your preferred text.

Best wishes

Re: Customising 'Record Details' form

There must be a problem somewhere else as the file already exists in order to over-ride the 'SEWBREC Stage' with just 'Stage' but this does not appear to be working. Is there a setting somewhere that I might need to turn on to get these over-rides working? Or does it require a database update, or a cache clearing (I've tried both)?
