Thanks Mike,
Your quick responses are appreciated.
So it seems that Vascular plants and Bryophites are the ones causing the issue for us. I am looking at SQL trace to see if I can fathom at what point the error is occurring, can I help with providing any further info?
Rob
The most likely problem will be a field which is concatenated or calculated in some way. We had problems in the past with the temporary table having some fields which were too short. Upgrading to R6 Version 6.22 and using the 6.22 version of the addin should have fixed these, so it looks like a new problem. Any help you can give in identifying the cause would be appreciated
Hi Mike,
Is there a report or another test I can run whose output could help you?
Thanks
Rob
Can you please check for me what the field lengths are in stored procedure nbn_exchange_create_tables Specifically is grid Reference set to varchar(40).
Hi Mike,
Sorry for the delay, I have been on annual leave and catching up after, the SP is attached, the gridref variable type is varchar(30).
Hi Mike,
Is there any other info i can provide?
Thanks
Rob
The Grid Ref field is slightly shorter than the maximum allowed in R6. Do you now enough to change this to 40 characters. From within SQL Server tools it would be necessary to right click and choose modify procedure, then change the grid ref length from 30 to 40 and run the script. There should also be a log file (export_log.txt) which will either be in the Report or Addin folder. If this is there is may it tell us a bit more about what is happening.
I have just stumbled across the "Greenfinch" issue mentioned earlier in this thread with records for
Chloris chloris entered on checklist BIRDS British Ornithologists' Union British List (Categories A, B, C)
not being a synonym for
Carduelis chloris entered on checklist British Ornithologists' Union categories D and E
I think our dictionaries are up-to-date (2Z)?
I see that the NBN Gateway shows these as two separate species https://data.nbn.org.uk/Taxa/NHMSYS0000530248 and https://data.nbn.org.uk/Taxa/NHMSYS0021002985
Is this still considered to be synonym issue (rather than two separate species) and is any action occuring to fix it please?
Regards, Keith
