Topic: Problems installing RECORDER

Trying to install Recorder at Mitcham Common from standalone download that I used in March 2014.  Installation reached 'Recorder 6 Application Files Installed' successfully. Then when 'Attaching NBN Data File' received bug report.  At end of bug report, error message was 'Exception message: Could not convert variant of type (null) into (string)'.

Any help much appreciated.

Just downloaded 'latest' version from  www.Recorder6.info/Standalone.zip hoping that would solve problem but same error.

Tried attaching the NBNdata manually - unzipped file in download and copied across to data folder.  With SQL Server Management Studio tried to attach and received error.  Googled error and found

Also relevant may be computer is for local authority staff so does not have any administrator rights.  We have specially requested administrator rights for today.

I think that even though you been given admin rights on the machine, you may not have rights on SQL server.  Can you get the sa password and use this to connect, or can you be given admin rights on SQl Server.
