Thre are no Print Options on the menu. Print a report and it just goes to the default printer, mine's Adobe pdf for a variety of reasons so it's a nuisance having to keep changing the default printer to get hard copy.
Can we have some Print Options on the menu please?
Error-trapping for invalid printer is also not good.
Not being able to select a printer to print to does see like a very unusual omission. We have four printers we regularly print to here: our workhorse duplex colour laser, an A3 inkjet, the photocopier and PDF writer. Like Darwin we have to select the printer by changing the default in Windows; it's a real hassle.

Most unusual. As I recall from my Visual Basic work, you could buy these sort of things as off-the-shelf add-ins ("Common Dialog" rings a bell). Surely these are also available for Delphi.
Still not fixed a year later in version 10.
I know of no other application that sends files to random unknown locations without letting you know where they've gone, as Recorder does with this non-functionality.

If I run a report, then select the File menu, I have Print and Print Preview options. Both of these options display the Windows common print dialog which you refer to before printing anything and allow you to select an alternative printer to the default.
On the Report Output menu, there is admittedly a shortcut to print the grid to the default printer.
Am I missing something?
It seems to vary depending upon where you are. I get the behaviour I describe when I've run an xml just to get a list on screen and then use the "Report output"|"Print grid". So far it works fine in a couple of areas as you say but I'll need to check a variety of other areas (tomorrow)

I know this problem has been mentioned in the past but we've tended to focus the funds we have on more critical problems (unhandled errors for example that stop users proceeding altogether).
I'm not sure we'll have any remaining funds this year to tidy this up but I'll create a CCN so that we can tackle it in the future.
Darwyn - can you let me know what you were trying to do where the error handling did not look great (so I can include this too).
