Topic: Error Message while rebuilding Taxon Name Index

*I've reposted this message here from the 'How do I...' section as it seemed a more relevant place to ask...*

I've just updated the dictionaries to the most recent version (...2H) which seemed to go ok. I then tried to rebuild the Taxon Name Index and received the following unhandled error: exception message - Invalid column name 'Actual_Name_Attribute'.

Has anyone else encountered this problem or have any idea how I can fix it?

My Recorder 6 version = 6.22.2.274

Re: Error Message while rebuilding Taxon Name Index

I think Sally may contacted directly about this. I suspect your database and software version are out of step. Could be the SQL in the upgrade failed, but I have also seen it occur where a users has restored the database following an upgrade. Running the upgrade again should fix the problem.

Re: Error Message while rebuilding Taxon Name Index

Sorry Mike,  I accidentally posted my original reply to this in my other thread.

*update* I've now spoken to Sally.  It seemed the problem actually occurred somewhere during the process of upgrading our copy of Recorder 6 from 8.18.1 to 6.22. I only noticed the problem when I was upgrading the dictionaries.

I've resolved the issue by restoring the database to a previous version and re-running both the version and dictionary updates.

Many thanks,
