Topic: Enhanced access request problems

Just tried to request enhanced access requests to two organisations (BLS and RSPB) for specificic datasets in DGERC's area via the gateway, yet the request has gone to all organisations.

Firstly, any organisation other than RSPB/BLS please ignore and close any current requests from DGERC.

Secondly, what's happening? Selected purpose, area filter, selected four datasets from BLS using the specific datasets option, timescale etc., wrote access request letter. Confirmation screen says I'm requesting data from four datasets and bang, I've apparently sent it to dozens of other organisations in error, thus wasting lots of peoples' time.

This happened previously when I was testing enhanced access to our own datasets and I assumed I'd made an error, but double checked everything this time. I'm going to send out a specific test to see if it happens again with screenshots to confirm that I'm not going round the bend...

Re: Enhanced access request problems

The same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago, and it may be general as it would explain the number of time-wasting requests we are getting from people who seem to be looking for records of creepy crawlies in our lichen datasets.

Mark - I have responded to your requests.

Re: Enhanced access request problems

Thanks Janet

I sent another request filtered to just a single dataset - note the 'filter to 1 of 94 datasets' on the menu

And my pending access request list is now full of errant requests that I never made

Please can someone look at this as it's wasting everyone's time...
