Topic: upgrade problems

We have recently upgraded to the latest version of recorder.  It hadn't been upgraded for some time as our IT expert had major issues during the install so he had put it off for some time.  It was a network install with several workstations installed.  The upgrade ran fine and works ok on the machine where the upgrade was run from but will not now run on any of the other work stations.  An error message appears during the login process.  Is there a workstation upgrade that needs to be installed?

Part of the error message is below, I can post it all if needed.

Thanks in advance

Michael Walker

Re: upgrade problems

On machines where it doesn't work try running  R6 as Administrator. Right click on the icon and choose run as administrator. If this works close R6 and open it again as the normal user and hopefully it will work.

Re: upgrade problems

Sorry for the delay replying Mike.  Yes that worked thank you.

Now all is updated I have another error when I try to do a quick report, detailed species list.  Error message opens "There is an error in the SQL code.  The error message is"String or binary data would be truncated""

Thanks

Michael
