Topic: Submit ok but file transfer failed. The file has not been uploaded

Hi,

I've got a couple of problems that just occurred when I was trying to submit a sighting myself via our Indicia form.

Firstly, are all the potentially SQL-breaking characters escaped when they're submitted to the warehouse? As I just tried a couple of times to submit a text field which contained brackets and although no error message was displayed via the indicia form, the submission did not succeed. However, when I removed the brackets from the comment, it seemed to resolve. I believe one of my colleagues has had a similar problem with apostrophes.

However, I did then get a separate error which was "submit ok but file transfer failed
The file has not been uploaded to the warehouse. One possible reason is that its size may exceed the server upload limits."

The attached jpg file was only 108k, so I guess this is probably not the real reason? Are there any other reasons this could have occurred?

Thank you,

Steve

Re: Submit ok but file transfer failed. The file has not been uploaded

The file upload error was first noted yesterday by Steve at BIS, and is affecting all indicia sites that use BRC's data warehouse. Files size is not the issue as I tested images that had uploaded perfectly fine the week before.

Thanks Dave, at least it's good to know that it's not me breaking something!

Hi Steve
The issue with photo upload was caused by a disk space problem on the warehouse server, which is now fixed. Apologies for the problems,
regards
