Topic: NBN Exchange v6.22 Add-In error exporting large surveys

Hi,

I've tested the above Add-In on a survey of ~75,000 records and it worked fine. However, I then tried it on a survey with ~750,000 records and it failed with the following message in a popup window:

RecorderApp; Export Failed Cancel And Try Again - Make sure you have write permission on the folder.

It was trying to write to the same folder as the successful export. I've found previous posts re this stating permissions but I have Full Control permissions over all drives and folders running as the server Administrator.

Update: Running on a smaller survey of ~200,000 records. In addition to the default Recorder/Determiner attributes, it fails if you tick Sample Type, Comment and Abundance. If you untick Abundance it works.

I also reran overnight the export on the survey of 750,000 without the Abundance ticked and it worked fine.

Anyone else had a similar problem? There seems to be an optimum amount of records in a survey (somewhere between 150,000-200,000) it will export before it fails IF 'Abundance' is ticked. Works fine if 'Abundance isn't ticked.

Hi

It is either the number of records, or possibly just a record in abundance which it doesn't like. What needs to be done is to put a more meaningful  error message in the addin.

Hi Mike,

I can replicate this error with any Survey which follow the above criteria i.e. Surveys > (between 150,000 and 200,000) records. I suspect the number of records is more likely base on the current evidence.

Ha, typically I've managed to export a Survey with ~250,000 records with the Abundance flag ticked.
