Topic: Issue with setting time-limited enhanced access on the NBN Gateway
An issue with setting time-limited enhanced access on the NBN Gateway has recently been discovered (see http://www.nbn.org.uk/News/Latest-news/ … est.aspx). This issue has resulted in the month of the expiry date being recorded as January irrespective of the intended month for the granted access to expire. For example, setting an intended expiry date of 11/04/2014 has been recorded as 11/01/2014. This has now been resolved so that for current access requests the intended expiry date is now correctly recorded.
However this has affected a number of previous access requests and as a precautionary measure all of these access requests have been set to expire on the 1st January in the year that the user's enhanced access has been set to expire. For access requests set to expire this year, it has meant that a number of requests have expired before the intended date. We have contacted the relevant dataset administrators and users regarding this issue as we resolve things.
For access requests set to expire in future years the user will not lose granted access to your datasets until the beginning of the year that their access was set to expire. They will be automatically informed of this when their enhanced access has expired so that they can reapply for access if they wish.
