Dictionary Upgrade 00000024,25 is now available at http://jncc.defra.gov.uk/page-4615

The upgrade makes the BLS checklist of Lichens and Lichenicolous Fungi the preferred list for Lichens.  It will now appear under LICHENS at the start of the taxon lists.

Nameserver will handle the link from the previously preferred Lichen names to the new names, so that reporting on Recommended Names will include, under the new name, all records for irrespective of the list used to enter the data.   

The preferred list for fungi remains the British Mycological Society Preferred List of Fungal Names. Lichens are still included on this list, but it is no longer the preferred list for these.

The 4 index tables will need to be rebuilt after this upgrade.  There is a slight difference in requirement for building these after version 6.22 in that from 6.22 onwards  'Rebuild Taxon  Name Index' must  be run before the other rebuilds.  Irrespective of which version of R6 you are running if the Indexes are rebuilt in the order shown in the menu then this will produce the correct result.
