Topic: Diptera checklist oddity

I posted this on the species dictionary topic first but Chris suggested asking elsewhere:

Hi
I was searching for diptera records yesterday in R6 and did a 'quick report' search from the diptera checklist within the taxon dictionary. I was surprised to see at the top of the list of dipteran records was a coleoptera! It was a record for Aphodius (Eupleurus) subterraneus. Its definitely not in this checklist so I am not sure why its being returned by the report.

I just checked and this doesn't appear when querying via the report wizard using the same checklist.

Is this something peculiar to our copy of R6 or do others get this anomaly too?

Thanks

Re: Diptera checklist oddity

I tried this in our corporate networked copy of R6. I've rarely had occasion to use Quick Report from the dictionary window before. I went to the DIPTERA dictionary (preferred list) and ran a Quick Report on Haematopota pluvialis. Some of my reports worked (without any anomalies similar to yours) but what I did notice is that some attempts (depending on which report was chosen) at Quick Reports returned a message "Unable to generate the report: Invalid map key. The polygon specified in the report does not belong to a know (sic) map." This problem does not occur on my standalone R6 installation at home. Both my dictionary versions are "1W"
