Topic: Error deleting Person

I'm having problems deleting a person from Recorder 6

The error I am getting is a Recorder one "You cannot remove this Individual. Remove its associations first."

The person was accidentally created whilst running an import (which has not yet actually been applied)

There are no links to this person under any 'Related Data' - I thought it's probably in the tables holding matching data for imports, but I deleted the entry relating to this person from dbo.IW_Matched_Names and I'm still getting the error - is there anywhere else the Import could have logged it!

There are lots of places the name  key is used, but not that many which can come via the import wizard.  The only one I can see other than Recorder name is Determiner. As you have access to the tables, take a back up. Then using Access or Mangement Studio,  delete the key from Individual (which will not cause any error), then try deleting it from Name. This should give you an error message which will specifically identify the table involved.  Having established the table,  I suggest you then restore from backup and then use the R6 front end to remove the associations and then the  record.    I would be interested in knowing what has caused this.
