Hi,
I have a few excel files of records that I want to import into the Indicia warehouse for some of my recorders. I want to make sure that I bring them in so that the recorder can have ownership and therefore editing rights to the records. What is the best way to do this or is this even possible?

I have made an import page on my site and the two options I came up with were to:

1) use the Masquerade module to import them as the user rather than as an admin (but I'm unsure if this will achieve my goal)

2) include the user's Indicia User ID as a preset value in the form and just change this with each import as necessary (for this I'm not sure of the exact way to write the preset value e.g. sample:date=14/08/2012). Also I'm not sure if there should be other presets included e.g. CMS User ID etc.

Any advice is welcome.
